Chinese home appliance retailer Yongle is expanding its market in the second tier cities in Sichuan Province.
Its fourth second-tier city store will be opened at the end of this month in Leshan.
The new store is located at Jiushun Square on Jiading North Road with a total business space of 4000 square meters. Yongle will use this store as a base for expanding to other cities in southern Sichuan, including Neijiang, Luzhou, Yibin and Emei.
It was announced last week that the three major Chinese home appliance retailers, Gome, Suning and Yongle, may swap stakes in each other's firms by the end of this year to better fight foreign competitors and better manage their local markets. It is not known how much stake each will hold, however local media estimates that the figure may be 10%-15%.
