Fast food franchiser McDonald's has reached a strategic agreement with Sinopec for opening drive-through restaurants at each of the oil company's service stations.
The flagship store is expected to open at the end of this year.
Jeffrey Schwartz, CEO of McDonald's China, says that this cooperation will first be carried out in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and then extended to other cities such as Tianjin, Wuhan, Chengdu and Shengzhen.
The amount of investment and manner of cooperation between the parties has not been released.
This cooperation is expected to help Sinopec extend its non-oil business and increase its expansion across China.
