Tesco, the biggest retailer in UK, is going to open its first Hymall in Suzhou in Jiangsu Province.
As the third biggest international retailer, Tesco now has over 2300 stores in 12 countries all over the world. In 2004, Tesco purchased half of the stock of Hymall, a Chinese franchiser belonging to Ting Hsin International Group.
Located in Gaoxin District, the new Hymall will be a large building with supermarkets and shopping malls. The total construction area will reach 25800 sqm. The first period of this project will be finished in October, 2007.
Now there are over 30 Hymalls in China, and Hymall in Gaoxin District will be the first store for Tesco in Suzhou.
