Sunner Group To Join Fuzhou Fast Food Market

Fujian Sunner Group says that it will soon open its first Meiqile restaurant in Fuzhou.

The company says it will also plan an additional five restuarants in the surrounding area over the next year.

The Meiqile chain has already poached some executive management from McDonald's and KFC. Meiqile features decoration and food similar to that of KFC and McDonald's, but with prices 10% to 20% lower than its American counterparts.

Sunner Group is one of the biggest chicken manufacturers in southern China. Since the first Meiqile was opened in 2004, Sunner Group has unveiled 20 Meiqile restaurants which are mainly distributed in second and third-tied markets.
