Norwegian pizza franchiser Peppes Pizza has opened its first mainland store in Shanghai and launched a "Pizza & Film" deal to help promote itself.
Peppes says that the main reasons it has come to China is because of the great success that rival Pizza Hut is enjoying in the country as well as the great market potential in Shanghai.
The prices of most of Peppes' pizzas are comparable to Pizza Hut.
Peppes' "Pizza & Film" deal includes a large pizza, a large bottle of cola and a latest DVD for those who buy food during the weekdays, and an additional cartoon DVD for those buying children's food.
The new Peppes is located on Nanjing West Road.
