Subway Heads For Hangzhou Sandwich Market

Subway has just opened a new sandwich store in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province in eastern China.

The new store is the 27300th store for Subway in the world.

"We are pleased to bring our fresh, healthy and delicious food to Hangzhou citizens and contribute to building the city into an international gourmet's heaven." says a representative from Zhejiang Subway Food and Beverage Management company, "at the same time, we will make use of the powerful management system and franchise system of Subway to open more stores in Hangzhou."

Following Hangzhou's accreditation as one of the best travel cities in China by the China Tourism Administration, many international brands have come to the city for business exploration and some of them have listed it as their next strategic market.

Headquartered in Milford, Connecticut, Subway Restaurants was co-founded by Fred DeLuca and Dr. Peter Buck in 1965. It is the world's largest submarine sandwich franchises, with locations in 74 countries.
