Swedish home furnishing retailer Ikea has begun to build its Asia-Pacific Logistics Distribution Center in Fenxian District in Shanghai.
The new center is said to be the largest logistics distribution for Ikea in the region and the largest foreign-funded warehouse in China.
As the largest home furnishing retailer, Ikea owns 252 stores in 34 countries and regions. At present, it has set up four stores in China, which are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou, respectively. As the key area of Ikea's strategic investment, Shanghai has been chosen to be Ikea's logistics distribution center in the region.
