Faced with increased prices on retail outlets and low quantity of space for sale, Kingfisher, the largest home improvement and DIY retail group from the United Kingdom, is planning to open a series of small B&Q stores in Asia.
The first B&Q store will open in Hong Kong with an area of 120,000 sqm, aimed at local consumers. A representative of the project says the new store is not officially named yet and it is described as similar to a convenience store.
Though Hong Kong is currently targeted for the new small stores, this mode will be extended to mainland China, Taiwan and India in the near future.
