Starbucks Raises China Prices

Starbucks has announced that it will increase prices for its goods by about 9 cents in the United States, but it has already raised prices in China.

According to local media, before raising its price in United States, Starbucks had also raised its prices by about RMB5 on its beverage prices in Beijing and RMB3 in Guangzhou. The prices of its desserts however remained the same.

One executive from Starbucks has told local media that because of higher costs of integrating some of its non-franchised stores in China, it faces higher prices. However the stores in the United States reportedly say they raised prices because of higher material costs.
