Konka says that the first phase of its white home appliance industrial park, which is used to produce refrigerators, has been completed and in the coming years the company will mainly focus on the white home appliance sector.
He Jianjun, vice president of Konka, says that Konka will set up an automatic washing machine production line with an annual capacity of 300,000 in Chuzhou, Anhui during the second phase of the construction, and acquire or build two automatic washing machine production line in the next two years.
By 2009, Konka says it will be able to produce 2.8 million white home appliances and become a leader of China's domestic white home appliance industry.
