Hualian Cooperates With Costa In China's Coffee Sector

Hualian Group will enter China's coffee cafe retail sector and will cooperate with Britain's Costa Coffee to develop the Costa cafe chain. The first Costa cafe will soon open in Beijing.

A representative from Hualian Group said that the company has signed an agreement with Costa's overseas subsidiary company. According to the agreement, the two sides will invest at the ratio of 1:1 to create a joint venture called Hualian Costa (Beijing), which will have the franchise rights of Costa Coffee.

Costa is a famous British coffee retailer that has a 30-year experience in coffee retail store management. It has 900 coffee shops, of which 640 are in Britain and 260 are in Europe and the Middle East. The cooperation between Hualian and Costa will promote Costa's development in China and the joint venture plans to open 300 Costa coffee shops in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and northeast China in the coming years.
