Youngor Completes Acquisition Of Kellwood's Men's Garment Line

Youngor, one of China's top apparel companies, has announced that the company's acquisition of American Kellwood's man's garment section has been completed. The acquisition involves US$120 million, making it the biggest overseas acquisition in China's garment industry.

Kellwood is one of America's famous garment companies. Its men's garment business is centralized in Xin Ma Apparel International, Hong Kong. On January 8, 2008, Youngor acquired fourteen production bases in Sri Lanka, Philippines and Guangdong. Youngor has now become one of the world's biggest production bases for men's garments with a production capacity of 80 million suits each year.

In addition, Youngor not only took over the ODM business of more than twenty world famous brands, including Polo and Calvin Klein, but also gained five authorized brands, experienced management group, a top design group and business channels and logistics system which lead to hundreds of American department stores.
