B&Q Opens Fourth Store In Nanjing

B&Q, one of the world's biggest decorative materials retailers, has opened the Daqiao Store in Nanjing. It is the company's fourth store in this city.

B&Q Daqiao Store is located in the Qiaobei area, which is surrounded by new communities. It is expected to meet the decorating demand of the nearby residents. The company's representative says that the reason for opening the new store here is because of the advantageous location of the area in the Yangtze River Delta region. With this store, B&Q's business will cover more than 34 million potential consumers in eastern China, where the residents have strong consumption demands both in quality and quantity.

Different from its original style, B&Q Daqiao Store will use black instead of red-orange to be its major color. In addition, the store also makes bold innovations in layout.

B&Q's first mainland China store was opened in Shanghai in 1999. By March 2008, the company owned 64 chain stores in 28 Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Nanjing. The goal of the company is to own more than 100 chain stores in China by 2010 with an annual increase of ten to twelve stores.
