NetSun.com Enters China's Online Apparel Retail Sector

NetSun.com has recently announced plans to enter China's apparel retail sector with the launch of its apparel B2C online shopping platform, which will be opened soon.

Originally a B2B e-commerce platform, this is the first time that NetSun.com has entered the B2C business. Focusing on the sales of apparel products, the B2C business of NetSun.com will be managed by an independent company. Invested and managed by Efu.com.cn, an apparel-oriented Chinese website, the B2C company of NetSun will become a subsidiary of Efu.com.cn and NetSun will not directly participate in the company.

Having been managing B2B business for about 12 years, the opening of NetSun.com's B2C platform is an important move by the company in the e-commerce industry chain after it has acquired several industry websites, including Efu.com.cn and Texindex.com.cn.

At present, major companies that have engaged in China's apparel B2C business include PPG, Vancl, and Bono.

According to the 22nd Report on China Internet Network Development released by the China Internet Network Information Center, as at June 30, 2008, the number of Chinese netizens had reached 253 million while the permeability of online shopping had reached 27.9%. In the first half of 2008, the market size of online shopping in China was CNY16.2 billion.
