Chinese sportswear brand Li Ning has announced plans to build a manufacturing and distribution base in Jingmen, Hubei province at a total total investment of CNY3.2 billion.
The manufacturing and distribution base named Li Ning Industrial Park is located in Jingmen Economic Development Zone and covers an area of 3,200 mu. Li Ning will be responsible for the construction of the distribution and R&D bases while another two companies established by its core suppliers will invest in the construction of footwear and apparel manufacturing bases.
On the completion of this industrial park, it will be one of the largest sportswear manufacturing and distribution center in central China. Its products will account for 40% to 50% of Li Ning's product supply chain and its annual output is expected to reach CNY6 billion.
In addition, the industrial park is expected to provide about 50,000 jobs for local people.
