China Resources Vanguard has announced the opening of its first supermarket in Changchun, Jilin province.
Located at the intersection of Nanhu road and Dongling south street, the new Vanguard Changchun Dongling store features a supermarket area and boutique stores, providing food, commodities, home appliances, and clothing. With the operating philosophy of "fashion, quality, thoughtful, fresh, low-price, and convenience", the new store aims, as far as possible, to meet the various shopping demands of consumers.
In addition, Vanguard has signed an agreement for its second supermarket in Changchun, which is scheduled to open in mid or late 2010 in Feiyue road. If it develops smoothly, the company will open six to eight new supermarkets in Changchun in the next few years.
By December 2008, Vanguard had opened 2,698 outlets around China, with annual sales of CNY63.8 billion.
