With a total investment of CNY600 million, this new production base is reported to be the company's largest non-carbonated beverage plant in the world.

According to reports in local media, Coca-Cola's production base in Wuhan will have four production lines. So far, two of these production lines have been put into operation and the annual output of the plant will reach 45 million cases.

Previous media reports said that Coca-Cola announced plans in June 2009 to set up a new non-carbonated beverage production base in Sanshui, Guangdong, with an initial investment of CNY600 million. This plant is expected to go into production in 2010. To date, Coca-Cola's planned investments in the Chinese non-carbonated drinks market have been over USD410 million.
