Leon J. Lee came to Grand Millennium Beijing with extensive China experience, beginning in 1985 as the Resident Manager of the Hua Ting Sheraton Hotel in Shanghai. After overseeing the successful opening of the Tianjin Sheraton as General Manager, Leon made the transition to VP Human Resources for Sheraton Asia-Pacific Region in Hong Kong before returning once again to operations in hotels in Beijing and the United States. He left Sheraton in 1993 and returned to China as General Manager of New World's China Hotel in Guangzhou until he was once again enticed to head up the Human Resources for Westin Asia Pacific Region based in Singapore. When Westin and Sheraton merged to become Starwood he continued in his HR role. In 2001, Leon joined Corporate Intercontinental Hotels Corporate Office in Singapore prior to joining Venetian Sands Casino in Macau in 2003 and led the HR team to open the Casino on May 19, 2004.
