Shanghai Joy City Now Fully Opened

The newly-built Shanghai Joy City, located on the Qufu intersection of Tibet North Road with a total construction area of 68,000 square meters, was opened last week.

After its opening, the Joy City has become the new landmark project in Suzhou Creek, Zhabei, and it also brings fresh air to the commerce in northern Shanghai.

According to COFCO, the developer of this project, this 11-story shopping center covers a gross building area of 68,000 square meters. It has introduced over 30 restaurants and many entertainment and leisure brands like Jinyi International Cinema, Tom's World, and Shanghai Gecheng KTV.

Information from relevant departments of Zhabei district shows that Shanghai Joy City is just the beginning for the new commercial layout of the north Shanghai area. The newly-opened Joy City is only the first phase of the entire development. In the second phase, COFCO Group is going to develop a residential area close to water, serviced apartments, star-rated hotels, and Class-A office buildings. With its full development, Shanghai Joy City will finally become a large mix-used complex in the area.
