The world retail giant French Carrefour Group will enter the Guiyang retail market and its first store in Guiyang — Carrefour Wenchang — will open before the new year.
Located in the Hengte International City Plaza, Carrefour Wenchang store has an investment of CNY30 million and an area of 17,000 square meters. It will sell over 40,000 kinds of merchandise, including fresh vegetables and fishes, grocery, general merchandise and textiles. It also has many supporting commercial facilities like restaurants, bookstores, pharmacies and beauty salons.
Currently, Carrefour is actively preparing for the opening of this new store. It has reportedly recruited over 400 employees in Guiyang and has finished their professional skill trainings.
