The world's leading sports retailer Decathlon has signed a new store in Suzhou, which is the company's fourth outlet in the city.

Located in Jinchang district, the new Decathlon store is expected to open in October 2012. Since Suzhou's first Decathlon store opened in Suzhou Industrial Park, its products appear to have been well-accepted by local consumers. The opening of the fourth store represents Decathlon's determination and confidence in expanding its retail network in eastern China.

On the completion of the new store, it will offer a total lease area of 3,200 square meters and a sales area of 2,400 square meters. It will also have over 250 parking spaces, providing free-of-charge parking services to consumers. In regards to products, the new store will provide about 35,000 kinds of products under 20 brands, covering over 60 different sports.

A representative from the market department of Decathlon told local media that the reason for the company to open this new store in Suzhou is because of the active economic atmosphere, as well as the rich cultural heritage in the city. In the future, they will develop two to three additional stores in Suzhou and plan to build concept department stores on self-purchased land.
