Qingdao Up In Flames: Zippo Opens First Chinese Apparel Store

Zippo, the international brand known for its windproof lighters, is expanding into the American-style men's apparel and accessories market and its first apparel store in China has opened at Wanda Plaza in Qingdao.

With a brand history of 80 years, Zippo is now not only a well-know lighter maker, but also a global lifestyle brand, providing a full range of daily products to consumers. Its lifestyle product lines cover accessories, perfume, outdoor products, pens, watches, and apparel.

The apparel series, which just entered the Chinese market, represents a new chapter of the development of Zippo's series products. These products inherit the brand's fashion modeling and outdoor features. Zippo's clothing embodies the classic, durable, and reliable American style.

Zippo plans to open five apparel stores in the country before the end of 2012. By 2015, it is expected to have 50 apparel stores in major Chinese cities. After the launch of the apparel series, Zippo plans to introduce more lifestyle products into China.
