H&M's 3000th Store Opens In Sichuan

H&M openned its 3,000th store in Chengdu, Sichuan, on September 15, making it also the brand's eighth store in the city.

Located in Chengdu's Fun Shopping Center, the new H&M store has an area about 2,500 square meters. To celebrate the opening of its 3,000th store, H&M provided special offers to customers on the opening day. In addition, the first 100 customers entering the store gained a CNY100 coupon.

Magnus Olsson, general manager for H&M Greater China, Singapore, and Malaysia, said that since the entry into the Chinese market in 2007, H&M achieved rapid development in this marketplace. It represents H&M's good performance in China; meanwhile, it shows Chinese consumers' increasing recognition of the brand. The opening of the company's 3,000th store in Chengdu is a mark of the company's confidence in Chinese consumers.

H&M opened its first Chinese store in Shanghai in April 2007. Since then, the company has maintained rapid expansion in China. So far, H&M has nearly 150 stores in China.
