Marks & Spencer Adds First Suzhou Store

British retailer Marks & Spencer has opened a new Suzhou store, which is the company's first outlet in the city and 16th in China.

Located on Guanqian Street, a popular business area in Suzhou, the new Marks & Spencer store has three floors and a total area of 2,900 square meters. With this new outlet, Marks & Spencer will provide high-quarter products with a confident style to local consumers, including women's clothing, men's clothing, children's clothing, accessories, shoes, pajamas, and underwear.

Stephen Rayfield, managing director for Marks & Spencer China, said during the opening ceremony that to further expand their coverage in the Chinese market, Marks & Spencer decided to open new stores in hot business areas like Suzhou's Guanqian Street. This is an important part of the company's international expansion strategy. This new store is expected to offer all fashion apparel in the season and they hope more consumers can enjoy the shopping experience in this store.

Founded in 1884, Marks & Spencer is one of the largest apparel retailers in U.K. At present, this brand has 16 physical stores and one Internet store on Tmall.com in China.
