MTR Welcomes the Year of the Dog with Special Edition Commemorative Tickets




Hong Kong, China, January 11, 2018 /ChinaNewswire.com/ - Start the Chinese New Year with MTR’s attractive “Year of the Dog” Commemorative Ticket Set available for sale from 28 January 2018 and enjoy unlimited rides around town on the MTR network* using the special edition tickets on the first day of the Chinese New Year (16 February 2018).

Priced at HK$85, the ticket set comprises two souvenir tickets depicting the loving and vibrant spirit of dogs illustrated by imperial painter Mr Shen Quan from the Qing Dynasty and contemporary British artist Ms Catriona Hall, both famous for bringing animals to life on paper. The ticket set also comes with a selection of gourmet teabags including four bags of High Mountain Oolong Tea and four bags of Oriental Delight Tea. As an extra offer, a limited edition “Year of the Dog” vacuum flask with a chic red monogram will also go on sale for HK$110 from the same day (28 January 2018).

The commemorative ticket set and the vacuum flask will be on sale from 28 January 2018 at the start of MTR train service at all MTR and Light Rail Customer Service Centres** (unpaid area) while stocks last. Each customer may buy up to two sets per purchase for each item. Each commemorative ticket allows customers to enjoy unlimited rides on the MTR network* on 16 February 2018. The tickets will be returned to customers as souvenirs after use. Malfunctioning tickets should be exchanged on 16 February 2018 at any MTR Customer Service Centres (except Airport Express, Light Rail, Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau and Racecourse stations). Tickets sold are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

MTR Club members can enjoy priority purchase through the MTR Club’s website at www.mtrclub.com.hk from tomorrow (12 January 2018) to 23 January 2018 or by paying cash at the Tourist Services Centre at MTR Admiralty Station (unpaid area) on 25 and 26 January 2018. Each member may buy up to two sets per purchase for each item while stock lasts.

Remarks:
* Each ticket is valid for unlimited rides on the first day of the “Year of the Dog” on 16 February 2018 (except Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, journeys to or from Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau and Racecourse stations). Passengers are required to present their tickets for verification when taking the Light Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus. If the ticket is used to travel to either Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau in breach of the terms and conditions, the holder is liable to pay the full single journey fare between the station of entry and Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau station.
