Suning To Open First 5G Experience Store

According to reports in Chinese local media, Suning is planning and building its first 5G application experience store-in-store in Shanghai, which will open to public soon.

This store-in-store is the first 5G experience store established by Suning.com and China Unicom in China and it will display some 5G application products and scenarios to consumers.

Previous media reports showed that 5G has faster speed. The average download speed of 5G smartphones is about 700Mbps and the upload speed is about 80Mbps, which are nearly ten times of those of 4G. It takes about 26 hours to download a movie with 3G; it probably takes six minutes with 4G; and it only takes 3.5 seconds with 5G.

Suning said that its first 5G experience store will focus on displaying experience and it is a first-generation model store. They will launch upgraded versions in the future and more experience stores will be available in various commercial areas of Shanghai.

Meanwhile, the first batch of 5G smartphones made by Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi and Nubia will be provided for consumer experience. In addition, Suning's 5G special zone will provide several 8K TVs made by Sony, Samsung and Sharp to support ultra high definition video experience via 5G network.
