According to reports in Chinese local media, China Mobile recently opened its first 5G experience store in Hong Kong.
Located in Central, Hong Kong, the new China Mobile flagship store has two floors and an area of 280 square meters. With silver grey as its main tone, the store features a transparent design of floor glass window.
The flagship store displays popular smartphones, accessories and VR devices on the first floor and it also showcases 5G technology development milestones of Hong Kong.
The second floor has a 5G experience zone to demonstrate 5G features and an intelligent home demonstration zone which allows people to directly feel the merging of 5G technologies into daily life via various digital lifestyle products.
Lian Zhouxiong, China Mobile Hong Kong new business unit director, said that 5G features fast transmission, low delay and multi-connection and its transmission speed is 10 to 20 times of that of 4G. Moreover, the bandwidth per unit area and the connected devices of each base station per unit area will also be doubled.
At present, Hong Kong's 5G base station construction has entered the preparation stage and it expects to enter 5G commercial use age around 2020.
