Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning recently signed an investment agreement on a high-end sports equipment manufacturing and high-end clothing manufacturing project with Guangxi ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone.
It is said that Li-Ning will invest about CNY1.5 billion for its high-end sports equipment manufacturing project. It will have an area of about 590 mu, covering shoe factory, clothes factory, accessory factory, and packing factory. Meanwhile, Li-Ning plans to invest CNY120 million into its high-end clothing manufacturing project, which is expected to achieve annual output of four to five million pieces of Li-Ning branded clothing.
This is another important project for Li-Ning in Nanning, following its sports park in Qingxiu District of Nanning and Guangxi supply base in Guangxi ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone.
According to public files, Li-Ning's Guangxi supply base was formally launched in May 2019. This project covers R&D and manufacturing of raw material, sports shoes, and sports apparel. It was the first time for Li-Ning to build a factory by itself since its founding in 1990. The Guangxi supply base has annual output of about five million pairs of shoes and its production team has over 900 people.
