Babytree To Set Up JV In Japan

Chinese maternal and child supplies e-commerce platform Babytree announced strategic cooperation with TokyoMX to set up a joint venture in Japan, aiming to introduce Japanese maternal and child products into the Chinese market.

Babytree said that Japanese products will enter Babytree's community, providing trial, test and group buying deals to young moms. With big data insight basing on true feedbacks of users, they will be able to further understand user acceptance of products.

At the same time, Babytree and TokyoMX will jointly create IP contents to combine quality product idea, usage, and function with pan-entertainment visual contents, which will be distribute via Babytree internal website and external platforms like Tmall, Douyin, and Toutiao.

In addition, Babytree plans to make customized products to Chinese young family consumers in the future. For brands with rich product lines and sufficient consumption trend cycle, the company will promote their full-channel operation in China.

Lou Lili, president of Babytree, said that Babytree will introduce overseas high-quality products and services into China to serve Chinese consumers. The company will cooperate with Japanese brands to expand China's consumer market for new women and new families.
