Burger King Changed China Head

Burger King China recently announced to appoint Zhu Fuqiang, former COO and senior vice president of Burger King China, as new CEO of the company to fully lead Burger King's operation in China.

From now on, Burger King China will be under the leadership of a local CEO, which means its team is further localized.

Burger King entered the Chinese market in 2005 and it currently has over 1,300 restaurants in more than 140 cities in mainland China. Burger King said that with the development of its Chinese business, the company needs to create new management methods to better adapt to the rapidly changing Chinese market environment. Therefore, leadership localization has become a development strategy of the company.

It is said that Burger King China's former CEO Ekrem Ozer has stepped down from the position and will take a more important role at the TAB Food Investments Group headquarters.
