Chinese down clothing company Bosideng recently published its annual report for 2019/20 financial year, stating that by March 31, 2020, the company realized operating revenue of CNY12.191 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%; and its net profit attributable to shareholders was about CNY1.203 billion, a year-on-year increase of 22.6%.
Meanwhile, its gross margin increased by 1.9 percentage points to 55% compared with the same period of last year.
According to the report, down clothing was still the largest income source of Bosideng and its revenue was about CNY9.513 billion, accounting for 78% of the total revenue of the company; its OEM processing business realized revenue of about CNY1.611 billion, accounting for 13.2% of its total revenue; its women's clothing business realized revenue of about CNY983 million, accounting for 8.1% of its total revenue; and its diversified clothing business realized revenue of about CNY84 million, accounting for 0.7% of its total revenue.
By March 31, 2020, Bosideng Group's retail sites for down clothing business saw a net increase of 238 to 4,866; its owned retail sites increased by 233 to 1,861; and its retail sites operated by third-party distributors increased by 5 to 3,005.
For women's clothing business, the company's retail sites saw a net decrease of 29 to 499; its owned retail sites decreased by 25 to 373; and its retail sites operated by third-party distributors decreased by 4 to 126.
