Wahaha Opened First Owned Milk Tea Store In Guangzhou

Chinese food and beverage company Wahaha recently opened its first owned milk tea store in Guangzhou's Wushan commercial area.

It is said that the store already started preparation in May 2019 and entered construction phase in November. However, its opening was delayed due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and it was finally opened on July 22.

Wahaha Group's chairman Zong Qinghou attended the opening ceremony and tasted over ten new products of the store. He also raised the concepts of "healthy, no additives, nutrition, and zero fat" regarding product development and market direction.

Before the opening of Guangzhou Wushan owned store, Wahaha milk tea has launched about 370 franchised stores mainly in Zhejiang and Jiangsu.

Wahaha said that the company had established two franchisee training bases for its tea drink project. At present, it still has about 300 new stores to open nationwide.
