Suning recently announced via its WeChat channel that the group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Hefei to enhance investment and promote industrial transformation and upgrade of the city.
Suning will fully increase its investment in Hefei, accelerate the realization of several major projects including Suning Plaza, and promote the scale development of cloud retail stores, Carrefour, maternal and baby stores and movie theaters.
At the same time, Suning will promote infrastructure construction and sharing for intelligent retailing in Hefei, including accelerating the development of logistics industrial park for intelligent retailing; enhancing export of financial technology capabilities; improving development and sharing of digital technologies; and exporting intelligent retailing solutions.
So far, Suning's offline stores have entered 13 county areas of Hefei, reaching 100% coverage.
