Starbucks' Kunshan Industrial Park Started Construction

Starbucks China Coffee Innovation Industrial Park recently started construction in Kunshan, Jiangsu, with a total investment of nearly CNY1.1 billion.

According to an announcement published by Starbucks China, the coffee innovation industrial park will integrate coffee roasting and intelligent warehouse logistics. The company will invest about CNY900 million, which is about USD130 million, for the first-phase project to build a coffee roasting plant, which is the main body of the industrial park.

At present, Starbucks has six coffee roasting plants worldwide, including five in the United States and one in Netherlands. After the new roasting plant is put into operation, China will become an important link of Starbucks' global roasting network.

So far, Starbucks has developed over 4,700 shops in nearly 190 cities in China.
