Shanghai Welcomes Gap's 8th Store

American fashion brand Gap has launched its eighth store in Shanghai at Dahua Sunny Days City.

Located in the Xuhui area of the city, Dahua Sunny Days City is an emerging fashion shopping area in Shanghai.

The new Gap store has a total area of above 1,000 square meters and it provides Gap's full lines of products, including adults' series, GapKids, babyGap, GapBody, and the Gap1969 jeans.

Meanwhile, consumers from all over China can purchase Gap's products via its Internet flagship store, which can deliver the shopping experience anytime anywhere.

Yang Deming, president for Gap Greater China, said that for the year 2012, Gap will accelerate its store expansion in China and the company is expected to have about 45 stores in the marketplace by the end of this year.

As the economic and financial center of China, Shanghai is full of young consumers who have strong desire for unique fashion. Gap hopes to bring its leisure and American style to Chinese consumers while bringing the world-class shopping experience.

So far, Gap has opened 20 stores in seven Chinese cities, including eight in Shanghai, five in Beijing, two in Tianjin, one in Hangzhou, one in Wuhan, one in Chongqing, and two in Hong Kong.
