Foreign media reports that British children's product retailer Mothercare is eyeing the China market.
Gordon Ben, CEO of Mothercare, has reportedly been attaching great importance to developing overseas market in the past four years, and he says that China's middle class is growing, which has brought a great potential to the market. So they are considering entering China's children's product sector to explore this big market.
Mothercare hopes to enter China through the cooperation with local children products supplier Good Baby. If their negotiation goes smoothly, Mothercare may acquire a small part of the stake of Good Baby.
Mothercare is one of the larger franchise shops in the United Kingdom. Mothercare's overseas franchise business currently operates through 281 stores in 39 countries, primarily in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
