Wal-Mart Shanghai Promotes Green Shopping Bags

Wal-Mart China and its supplier Unilever are beginning a campaign in to advocate environmental protection.

This campaign asks for customers to buy an anti-pollution shopping bag when they are shopping in Wal-Mart. According to the executives of Wal-Mart Shanghai, this bag is made of cotton. Compared with the normal plastic bags, it can be reused many times.

The cost for customers is RMB3. Additionally, Wal-Mart has prepared to offer gifts to its customers
who attending this campaign.

According to local media reports, shopping centers in China provide 30,000 to 40,000 plastic bags everyday. This provides a great burden to the environment.
