European sports supplies retailer Decathlon has signed an agreement with Nanhai district government in Foshan, Guangdong, to open two new outlets, a Qiandeng Lake project and Shishan project, both of which are scheduled to open in 2011.

Courier service provider TNT has announced that the company will open eight new branches in China before the end of the year, increasing the number of its outlets in China to 34.

According to Li Jiahui, president of Guangdong Sai Yi Convenience Stores, the company plans to increase the number of its 7-Eleven stores in Guangdong to 500 by the end of 2008 and the number will be further increased to 1,000 in three to five years.

Pringles chips, a snack product manufactured by Proctor and Gamble, have been found containing potassium bromate for the third time and some supermarkets in Guangzhou and Foshan have withdrawn the substandard chips.

The "2007 Survey of the Public's Evaluation of Multinational Companies' Image In China", released by Guangdong Provincial Situation Survey and Research Center, shows that 81.29% of the interviewees believe that multinational companies are discriminating against Chinese employees in China.
