Trust-Mart has recently opened its second store in Mianyang, Sichuan Province — the first new large-scale supermarket to be opened in Sichuan Province following the May 12 earthquake.

Yum! Restaurants China, the brand owner of fast food restaurants KFC and Pizza Hut, says that in the coming year both KFC and Pizza Hut will give priority in hiring job seekers from the earthquake areas in Sichuan.

Jose Luis Duran, president of the French Carrefour Group, told Sina.com in Beijing that the group would donate another RMB20 million to Sichuan relief operations.

Yum! Restaurants China has announced that the group will donate another RMB10 million to support the earthquake relief in China. The U.S. headquarters of Yum! Group will also donate about RMB2.8 million for the same use.

Japanese retailing giant Aeon has donated JPY25 million through the Chinese Embassy in Japan for the protection of the giant pandas in Wolong, Sichuan.
