British chain retailer Tesco will open a new outlet in Wuyuanwan Department Store, Xiamen.

According to reports in foreign media, a survey conducted by the British Children's Food Campaign shows that many Heinz products contain too much saturated fat, salt, and sugar, and hence they pose a threat to the health of children who eat them.

Sir Stuart Rose, executive chairman of the British retailer Marks and Spencer, said that the company did make some basic shopkeeping mistakes when opening its first outlet on Chinese mainland, but it will still develop more stores in China, doubling the share of overseas sales in the group's total revenue.

Taiwan-based technology manufacturing group Hon Hai Precision will become the general agent for Apple's products on the Chinese mainland and the company will start its large-scale deployment in the mainland market later this year.

According reports from local media, Tiens Group has closed its only supermarket in Beijing — the outlet operated under the brand name of BannerStore.
