The international fast food giant McDonald's has set up a strategic partnership with Shenzhen Metro Company for its expansion in business areas along subway lines.

According to reports in Reuters, the U.S. fast-food chain Subway plans to expand the number of its restaurants in China and aims to exceed the total number of McDonald's outlets in China in ten years.

As a celebration of the 20th anniversary of McDonald's entry into the Chinese market, the international fast food giant has announced plans to launch a new hamburger university in Shanghai, the company's seventh worldwide, making the city a new human resources training base for McDonald's in Asia Pacific.

The re-construction of four primary schools that were destroyed during the 5.12 Sichuan earthquake in 2008 will be completed by the end of 2008 and one of the major contributors for the re-construction is McDonald's.

The international fast food giant McDonald's has announced that following a one year trial in Shanghai, it will launch its 24-hour delivery service in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

According to China Mobile's Shanghai branch, its regulations related to micropayments made with mobile phones have been completed and consumers in Shanghai will soon be able to pay with mobile phones in McDonald's and Starbucks.
